Gymbound Ltd · Please read before using our infrared sauna
Using the sauna safely
Our infrared sauna is here for you to enjoy as part of your Gymbound membership. Infrared sauna
use raises your core body temperature and heart rate, so it is not suitable for everyone. Please
read this guidance before your first session. The sauna terms form part of your Membership
Agreement, and you use the sauna voluntarily and at your own risk.
Who should check with a doctor first
Please consult your GP or a specialist before using the sauna if any of the following apply to you:
• Heart disease, high or low blood pressure, circulatory problems, obesity or diabetes.
• You are taking prescription medication (including diuretics, beta-blockers, barbiturates or
anticholinergics) or over-the-counter medication such as antihistamines.
• Any condition associated with a reduced ability to sweat, including Multiple Sclerosis, central
nervous system tumours, or diabetes with neuropathy.
• Haemophilia or any tendency to bleeding.
• You are pregnant, or think you may be.
• You have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other electronic or surgical implant.
• You have a fever or reduced sensitivity to heat.
• You have a recent (within 48 hours) or chronically swollen joint injury.
If any of these apply, please take medical advice before using the sauna, and keep your fitness to
use it under review if your health changes.
Who can use the sauna
The sauna is for members aged 18 or over only. Members under 18 must not use the sauna.
Rules of use
• Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or to “sweat out” a
hangover.
• Drink water or an electrolyte drink before and after use. Do not use the sauna if dehydrated.
• Do not exceed the maximum session time and temperature displayed at the sauna.

Your agreement
By using the sauna you confirm that you are 18 or over, that you have read and understood this
guidance, that to the best of your knowledge you are fit to use the sauna, and that you agree to
follow the rules of use above. The full sauna terms form part of your Membership Agreement. This
guidance does not limit any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded, including in respect of
